Hello readers! Sorry to keep you hanging from my previous post where I said to check back soon to see why I had a picture sitting on the floor. I have been super busy lately with my day job and doing projects around the house. We finally finished painting the 1st floor! I’ll post some before & after pictures soon when everything doesn’t look like a tornado just hit it.

Anyway, I won’t keep you waiting any longer for me to explain why the picture is on the floor. Super simple solution to an eyesore. Normally plugs and outlets wouldn’t bother me but because of where this one is placed it doesn’t sit behind our tv stand and is just out in the open. Therefore there are these big bulky plugs just right there staring at me every time we watch tv and it bothers me! I hate clutter and things not in order so I had to do something to cover it up. I searched around online for solutions but couldn’t really find anything I liked.

I was hoping Rocky’s toy basket would be tall enough to cover it up but it wasn’t… too short. That reminded me of this picture that I made that says “A house is not a home without a dog”. I didn’t hang it up anywhere yet so I thought it would be perfect to set right in front of the outlet. Perfect fit and now I get to look at the cute sign I made instead of the plugs! 🙂 I put his toy basket in front of the picture too so it looks like it goes in that space more and not just chilling on the floor for no reason.

Hope this helps spark some ideas for any unsightly plugs or outlets that are bugging you!
