When I first announced on my blog that I was pregnant I showed a sneak peek of a baby bump scrapbook that I was creating. Well, now that I’m almost to my due date (2 weeks left!!) it’s time to reveal more details of my baby bump scrapbook.

I wanted it to be super simple and something I could easily keep up with once I printed pictures. I decided to make a small Project Life album (6×8). If you aren’t familiar with Project Life, it’s a simplified version of scrapbooking…you buy sets of cards that you can use for journaling or as decorative filler cards to go along with your pictures. Then all you do is slip everything into plastic sleeves…scrapbooking made easy! Since the album is smaller I made my baby bump pictures 3×4 to fit in the small vertical sleeves and printed my pictures with my home printer.

So, I first started my baby bump scrapbook with a set of cards that are actually not the Project Life brand. The pack is called Bo Bunny Misc Me Journal Pack – Baby Bump…perfect for my project! I found them on Amazon. I also purchased a mini kit from Project Life called Baby Edition for Him after I found out I was having a boy. I used these two packs as well as some random cards I have from various other Project Life card kits I have to fill up my baby bump scrapbook.

I took weekly bump photos starting at 6 weeks to show the progression – which is amazing to look at! I would set an alarm on my phone to go off each week so I would remember to take them. I decided to wear the same shirt every week (except for a few shots…like Christmas day) so you could really see the progression.

I also included a couple of key events that happened throughout my pregnancy in my baby bump scrapbook like a picture of Joe and I the night we found out we were pregnant…

I included the invite by just hole punching it and sticking it in. This picture shows the back of the invite with the insert that was included telling guests to bring a book instead of a card (a great idea to get your baby’s library started!)

And of course I included all the ultrasounds we had of our baby. The pictures below show our 4D/HD ultrasound we had done at 30 weeks 🙂

I didn’t journal too much in this album about random pregnancy things because I also had a pregnancy journal but I think for my next pregnancy I’d just combine it all into one book! I did write a couple of things though, like my cravings and how I knew I was pregnant in my baby bump scrapbook. Each card that says what week you’re looking at I created by just writing it out on the journaling cards with a marker/pen, using stickers I had on hand, or cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo. You can get as creative as you want!

It’s really fun to go back and look at how much my body has changed from week 6 until now! I hope this blog post helps inspire you to create your own baby bump scrapbook! We can’t wait to meet our little man. Hopefully he arrives soon 🙂
